Overflow parking is available both to the West (left) side of the hospital and the South, beyond Diagnostic Radiology Associates of Wisconsin building. These parking lots have a combined capacity for 240 vehicles. Patients and visitors are cautioned not to park in reserved areas.
Smoke-Free Campus
Lakeview
Medical Center is a tobacco free campus. The decision has
been made to fulfill the hospital’s mission to improve the
health of our patients and community by providing
high-quality care that meets the needs of all people. To do
this, we must make every effort to preserve health and
prevent illness. In addition, the decision to become tobacco
free was led by consistent feedback from patients, families,
medical staff and employees who believe a tobacco free
campus will:
- Provide a healthy work
environment for employees, patients and families
- Assist employees and
patients in improving their own health
- Keep Lakeview Medical Center
in the forefront for pursuing excellence in health care
- Enhance the image of
Lakeview Medical Center as a health care leader in the
community
The policy is not intended to
control any person’s choice to smoke outside of the workplace,
but rather to create a healthier environment for everyone who
comes to Lakeview Medical Center to work, receive care or to
visit a friend or family member.
Visiting Hours
Family members and friends are welcome to visit; however, patient care is our primary concern. In order to enhance the quality of care, specific visiting hours and regulations have been established for each unit. General visiting hours are 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visiting hours for the Medical/Surgical unit are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Please check at the nurses' station for visiting hours on the ICU and Women's Health units.
Following are general guidelines for visitors:
- Visitors may not smoke anywhere in the hospital.
- Visitors must dress appropriately and must wear shirts and shoes.
- Visitors in semiprivate rooms should be considerate of both patients.
- People with colds, sore throats, or any contagious diseases should not visit patients.
- Visits should be kept short.
- Visitors should maintain a quiet environment and avoid unnecessary noise.
- Visitors may be asked to leave the room during tests, treatments, or when the doctor or nurse needs to see the patient.
- Visitors should check with the nurse before bringing gifts of food or drink to patients.

The cafeteria at Lakeview Medical Center is open daily for continental breakfast from 6:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., for lunch from 11:15 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. (11:45 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekends and holidays), and for supper from 5:45 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Vending machines for snacks and beverages are located in the cafeteria area. The cafeteria seating area is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Gift Shop
The Gift Shop located on the main floor across from the reception desk is staffed by volunteers and is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. The gift shop has a variety of gifts, cards, flowers and candy.
Waiting Areas
There are several specially designated waiting areas for visitors on each patient floor and on the main floor in the lobby. Specific waiting areas have been designated for families of patients in the Critical Care Units, the Emergency Department and Surgery. During certain hours, a volunteer is on duty in the Surgery waiting room to keep family members informed about the progress of surgery. Coffee is provided in most waiting rooms as well as in our cafeteria located on the ground floor.
