OphthalmologyThe specialty of ophthalmology includes emergency and comprehensive medical eye examinations and surgical correction of eye disease.
Ophthalmologists diagnose and treat diseases and disorders of the eye such as cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes, and disorders of macular degeneration. Most surgery is done on an outpatient basis at Lakeview Medical Center.
