Hospice Dinners Get Continued Support
from Local Restaurants
Life is a Celebration is a special program offered by LMC's Hospice program that brings a complete dinner party to the home of a hospice patient (and family or caregiver), who would otherwise find it very difficult or impossible to get out.
The project could not continue without the continued support of community businesses,
such as the below:

Tony Schneider and Sheri Van Vickle
from Dobie’s BWR

Jessica From Brecka’s II Floral & Gifts

Doreen Marsh, Restaurant and Beverage
Manager from Tagalong Golf Resort
and Restaurant

Free Injury Screenings for School Athletes
Lakeview Medical Center's Physical Therapy Department offers free sports injury screenings for middle and high school athletes. Injured athletes should speak to the training room attendant or their coach or call the Physical Therapy Clinic directly at 715-236-6408 to set up a sports injury screening.
During the sports injury screening a Physical Therapist will evaluate the athlete and determine whether the student athlete requires further medical or diagnostic services. The therapist will also offer advice on appropriate stretching and exercises for rehabilitation. Often student athletes benefit from the screen to determine whether they are wearing appropriate footwear and if they would benefit from custom foot orthotics to correct foot and lower extremity alignment problems therefore reducing their risk of injury.
The Physical Therapist will consult with the athlete's family physician or an orthopedic surgeon to ensure that appropriate care is provided to the athlete. Parents are welcome to call to set up a sports screen for their child and are also welcome to attend the sports injury screening. Please call 715-236-6408 to set up a sports injury screening.
