Emergency Services

The emergency room at Lakeview Medical Center is one of the busiest places in the hospital. Open 24 hours a day, over 1000 patients are cared for in the ER every month.

Area's Only Emergency Medicine Specialists

LMC has 4 Emergency Medicine physician specialists on staff. Unlike other hospitals who use only on-call doctors in their ERs, our doctors are there when you need them--in the emergency room 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Our ER also has 24-hour access to CT and ultrasound services.

Area's Only Paramedic Ambulance

LMC is the only northern Wisconsin hospital to provide paramedic service to the rural communities we serve. Many ERs are staffed only with EMTs who are required to receive just 100 hours of training. Paramedics, however, go through two years of specialized training.

For patients, this may mean a higher standard of care on the scene--when seconds can mean life or death.
